2017 Key Trends
  • Traditional warm autumn tones are gently cooled with hues of grey and blue.
  • Plaid and tartan patterns add countryside charm.
  • Galvanized metal and reclaimed wood bring both form and function.
  • Plush and textured textiles reflect autumn’s cozy comfort.
  • In-home spas and relaxing retreats take center stage this season.
Room Themes

Porch — Countryside accents come to the city in this farm-style setting. Autumn’s natural hues are paired with tartan patterns and splashes of pumpkin. Wicker chairs with oversized cushions invite guests to curl up and enjoy the view of an early autumn sunrise.

Parlor — What was formerly used as a dining area transforms into a stylish chat room with a built-in bar for nightcaps and easy conversations. Distinct coffee tables and woodsy owl prints perfectly suit the space’s new purpose.

Living Room — Family living meets fine dining as this common gathering space finds itself stylishly serving a dual purpose. Feather-printed place settings add a delicate touch to the dinner table while a cozy couch welcomes company across the room.

Sunroom — Birch trees in beautifully muted colors make a statement across the walls, serving up tranquil surroundings. Autumn leaves, watercolor accents and low-lying furniture mirror the peaceful characteristics of the room.

Kitchen — A wildflower motif elicits endless creativity from the family’s favorite cook and encourages the constant exploration of new recipes. Creamy white and orange highlights adorn indigo backgrounds for inspiring bursts of color.

Master Bedroom — A neutral palette of shaded greys sets the scene for this serene escape. Thick, knit throws and chunky, wool textiles are balanced with fine fur accents to foster unimaginable comfort.

Nursery — Campground fun makes its way indoors for this playful setting, complete with friendly woodland creatures. Teal and orange accents pop against neutral backgrounds while soft textures lend warmth.

Guest Bedroom — An array of vibrant jewel tones send energetic and carefree vibes throughout this eclectic space. Pillows hand-stitched from recycled saris are piled high on a casual daybed to complement the room’s Bohemian style.

Spa Room — Soothing candles, calming grey colors and lavish plants inspire this relaxing oasis. Spa baskets showcase unique soaps and products, and a galvanized metal tub and wooden hanging shelves contribute a rustic charm.

Main Floor Bath — Wildflowers from the kitchen dance into this simple space, extending the spirited atmosphere from one room to the next.

Potting Shed — The cauldron is hot, and who knows what’s brewing? Black and white features bring a spooky presence to this witch’s receiving room. Enter at your own risk!

Garage — Fall in love with fall on the farm. Denim textures and bold red bandanas harken back to vintage harvest style. Long days in the field wind down with the sound of a crackling fire and the taste of toasted marshmallows beneath a setting sun.

Outdoors — The temperature may be cooling down but the landscaping is warming up. Garden beds and decorative containers abound in the rich autumn hues of mums, ornamental kale and more fall favorites.
